St. Benedict Catholic School offers an affordable, faith-based, academically rigorous K-8 education rooted in the Benedictine way.
What We Provide
At St. Benedict Catholic School, a dedicated team of qualified and experienced teachers nurtures each child in faith and learning. With a 10:1 student/teacher ratio and class sizes limited to 20 students, every child receives the personal attention they deserve in a Christ-centered environment that blends academic excellence with the Benedictine way of life.

What St. Benedict Offers
Faith & Sacraments
Children's Liturgies and preparation for the Sacraments help students grow in their relationship with Christ throughout the school year.
Small Classes
A 10:1 student/teacher ratio, with class sizes limited to 20 students, ensures every child is known and supported by qualified, experienced teachers.
Technology
A computer lab with 21 laptops, two or three computers with internet access in every classroom, and Smart Boards in all classrooms and the computer room.
Daily Gym & PE
Students enjoy daily access to the gym for physical education, keeping body and mind active throughout the school day.
World Languages
Spanish classes from K-8, two days a week. Learning a language stimulates the developing brain, strengthens reading skills, and raises test scores.
Support & Testing
Support services include Auxiliary Math/Reading, a Hearing/Speech Clinician, and a Guidance Counselor. Testing programs include the Iowa Tests of Basic Skills, DIBELS, and Accelerated Reading.

Our curriculum gives students a strong, well-rounded foundation. Courses include religion, reading, language arts, science, social studies, mathematics, algebra, library, music, art, physical education, and computer science.
