Financial Aid

Tuition assistance, tax-credit scholarships, and diocesan support keep a Saint Benedict education within reach for every family.

Fund Your Child’s Education

At Saint Benedict Catholic School, we believe every child deserves the opportunity for a faith-filled education, regardless of a family’s financial situation. Financial aid is available to all students, whether or not they are parish members.

PA Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC)

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania offers the PA Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) program — formerly the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program. This program allows Pennsylvania companies to donate a portion of their state taxes to designated school tuition funds, channeling OSTC dollars into the Central PA Scholarship Fund. Business owners interested in participating may review the official guidelines and apply online at dced.pa.gov.

Diocesan & Parish Support

As part of the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown and the Saint Benedict Parish community, our families benefit from diocesan and parish support that helps keep a quality Catholic education affordable. For more information, contact the school office at (814) 344-6512 or the Diocesan Director of Development at (814) 695-5577.

How to Apply

Families of Saint Benedict School students are encouraged to apply for financial aid by completing the school’s tuition-assistance application. Simply contact the school office to request an application. All applications are handled confidentially by an independent application firm. If you have any questions regarding tuition and financial aid, please contact the school office.
